Saxon Phonics
Saxon Phonics K-2 and Saxon Phonics Intervention prepare children to be successful, independent readers and spellers. Supported by research on effective reading instruction, Saxon’s phonics programs are appropriate for all children, including those with learning difficulties. No prior knowledge is required to teach these success-oriented programs. The lessons are completely scripted to make teaching easy.
Saxon Grammar and Writing
Saxon Grammar and Writing is produced by Stephen Hake, co-author of the Saxon middle grades math books. It is a comprehensive language arts program designed with the Saxon Math model of incremental development and continual review. Homeschool kits for grades 5 through 8 include a Student Textbook, a Student Workbook, and a Teacher Packet. The Student Textbook instructs students on key grammar and usage concepts, the Student Workbook systematically guides students through the writing process, and the Teacher Packet provides answers and allows parents to monitor their child's progress.
Houghton Mifflin English Homeschool Packages
Houghton Mifflin English provides developmentally appropriate lessons that concentrate on grammar, usage, and mechanics skills, as well as the six traits of writing. Each package includes a Student Edition, Teacher's Edition, Workbook Plus, and Grammar and Writing Assessment.
