Math in Focus combines the Singapore approach to math with a configuration that is easy to use and understand. Available for Kindergarten through 5th grade, Math in Focus: The Singapore Approach is the United States edition of Singapore’s most widely used program.
Math in Focus has numerous instructional advantages that make it a successful program. Carefully paced instruction focuses on teaching fewer math topics per year to a level of mastery. Additionally, consistent use of visual models and manipulatives bridge the concrete and the abstract. Instruction is centered around problem solving, with multiple models that help students visualize and understand math concepts.
Each grade includes two homeschool kits, one for each semester, as well as assessments. Homeschool kits include a student textbook, teacher edition, and workbook. Virtual manipulatives are also available on CD-ROM.
