Saxon Phonics prepares children to be successful, independent readers and spellers. Grammar and Writing is produced by Stephen Hake, co-author of the Saxon middle grades math books. It is a comprehensive language arts program designed with the Saxon Math model of incremental development and continual review. Homeschool kits for grades 5 through 8 include a Student Textbook, a Student Workbook, and a Teacher Packet. The Student Textbook instructs students on key grammar and usage concepts, the Student Workbook systematically guides students through the writing process, and the Teacher Packet provides answers and allows parents to monitor their child's progress.
